Found her fingers
Yesterday Parker found her fingers. She seemed quite suprised , and wasn't sure from where they were magically appearing. They have appeared a few more times since, but happen to be there on an inconsitant basis She really hasn't developed a prefrence yet. We will keep you updated on the decision process.

"Mother Earth" sculpture for my class at Kendall -- Brian did a plaster cast of me a couple of weeks ago, and I made did the image of Earth... and the Milky Way... Get it?!
Then to make it a series, I did a plaster cast of Brian, and made "Father Time," and copied the face of my parents' grandfather clock on it...

Ice cream induced sugar buzz kicks
So there we were reading in bed after a nice ice cream cone when it happened..... IT..... yes. Hilary felt the first kick, then a flurry of kicks induced by the sugar buzz no doubt. Papa Brian was a bit doubtful until he laid hands on and felt the little one pummeling ma from the inside..... CRAZY!
According to the Docs Papa Brian shouldn't have been able to feel it at 16 and a half weeks, but it was there plain as evening....... I felt a couple big pokes...... well tiny in comparison to just about anything, but there it was , the tinniest little poke from the other side of the womb. Hilary felt more than I did. I am sure it was a lot of effort just to communicate that much. Hilary felt a few more kicks that felt like butterfly flutters. So amazing! and here I thought it was just gas..... Hah! Love Brian

Baby's Heartbeat
We had a great appointment today with Dr. Lown. The Doppler gave us a chance to listen to the baby's heartbeat, so we wanted to share it with you.
ENJOY.......

HELLLLLOOOOOOO!!!
We're 12 weeks into the pregnancy of our first baby... Whew!! Hilary's ready to start feeling not so sick and tired anymore... though she's thrilled to bits. Brian is working on building a crib for this lucky little kid, and plans on (hopefully!) finishing it this long Memorial Day Weekend.
We'll get some good belly pics soon, though there's really not enough there to show, yet.
