Parker, at 18 months, knows that when Mama and Yaya are talking about Brian.... They are talking about Dada.

Parker was frustrated with her dad

Parker was very frustrated with me , since I didn't understand what she was trying to tell me. I didn't realize until Hil told me.... Parker wanted me to change George's diaper, not her own. Once it was explained to me, Parker concurred.

Parkers new ride

I modified a züm bike I purchased from EBay. I bought a third rim to match and converted the bike into a trike. There will be many videos to follow, of that I am sure. This is now a 3 in 1 push/strider bike. This will convert from a trike to short bike (flip the sloped bar) to tall bike.....skip the training wheels and straight to a bigger pedal bike. I am so excited for this summer.

We went on a walk with George. Spring has sprung but the warm weather is delayed. She loves being outside.

First steps

These are the first steps I caught on video. It is amazing to watch the progression.

Accidentally standing

In this video Parker was way too busy to realize she is standing. She would be horrified if she had realized it. Nice try with the stool Dad.

Georgie

This is the first video evidence of Parker saying Georgie. She loves her Curious George.

rice cereal

Parker has had her 3rd experience with Rice Cereal. I think she really likes it and is getting used to eating from a non human appendage.

Big Talker

Parker is now using variable pitch and melody in her voice. She started that today. We love seeing her personality, as she develops and grows, and grows.

This is the butterfly that Odin and Soren Schwab gave me! It's hanging right above where I get my pants changed... It's pretty much my new best friend... :-)

Parker has started smiling... and it absolutely melts my heart!! What a love...

Found her fingers

Yesterday Parker found her fingers. She seemed quite suprised , and wasn't sure from where they were magically appearing. They have appeared a few more times since, but happen to be there on an inconsitant basis She really hasn't developed a prefrence yet. We will keep you updated on the decision process.

Parker, moments old. She was 7lb. and 19 1/2in. long born at 12:23 in the afternoon on 12/2/09.

We think she is perfect. We are partial, but she really is perfect.

We are in love.

Well we have been very busy and not very good at updating the blog.
Parker has officially entered the building, and the world.......
she is home now after a great snowstorm of about 8 inches. Daddy loves the snow, anyway......
Parker is home now for a full day and very happy to be here.

"Mother Earth" sculpture for my class at Kendall -- Brian did a plaster cast of me a couple of weeks ago, and I made did the image of Earth... and the Milky Way... Get it?!
Then to make it a series, I did a plaster cast of Brian, and made "Father Time," and copied the face of my parents' grandfather clock on it...

And this is me at 37 weeks! Only a couple of weeks to go... Whew!!
